01 · What coaching is
A coach for your mental wellbeing.
Think of a sports coach, but for how you’re doing on the inside. A mental health coach supports, guides and motivates you as you build the skills, confidence and mindset to handle what life is throwing at you.
Coaching is a partnership. Sessions are structured and focused on solutions: we look at where you are, where you want to be, and take manageable steps towards it together.
It’s practical and forward-looking, drawing on tools like goal setting, problem-solving, mindfulness, and ways of noticing and challenging unhelpful thought patterns. Every session ends with something to try.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a referral to start. A coach doesn’t diagnose conditions, prescribe medication or treat trauma; if that’s the support you need, I’ll say so and help you find it.
In line with how Beyond Blue describes mental health coaching.
02 · What we work on
What a coach can help you with.
- 01Stress, overwhelm & everyday anxiety
Understanding what’s behind the symptoms of stress, and finding ways to reduce and manage it. The 2am replays, the what-ifs, the feeling of running on empty.
- 02Unhelpful thought & behaviour patterns
Noticing the loops you get stuck in, challenging the ones that aren’t serving you, and practising something different.
- 03Emotions & self-awareness
Developing the self-awareness to recognise what you’re feeling and regulate it, rather than being run by it.
- 04Relationships & connection
Building deeper connections with the people you love and care about most. Boundaries, honest conversations, saying no without the guilt spiral.
- 05Work & life changes
Burnout, a career change, separation, a move, a chapter you didn’t choose. Finding your feet when the ground has shifted.
- 06Sleep, habits & balance
Small routines that stick, built around your real life rather than an ideal one, so you stay energised and find some balance.
- 07Motivation & accountability
Clear goals, a plan you can follow, and someone checking in so it doesn’t slide.
- 08Personal growth
Ongoing self-discovery: getting clearer on who you are, what matters to you, and what you want the next chapter to look like.

-

50-minute sessions over video or phone, from wherever you’re comfortable. Each session has a focus you choose, and we agree the rhythm between sessions together.
-
Tools you keep
Every session ends with something practical to try before the next one. Small shifts, repeated, are how things change.
04 · Fees & format
Clear from the start.
05 · Is it right for me?
Coaching, not therapy. Honest about the difference.
Coaching is focused on the future. A coach doesn’t diagnose mental health conditions or treat trauma, but can support you to take practical steps towards balance and growth.
Therapy is delivered by registered mental health professionals and focuses on processing past experiences, including trauma. It’s often used to treat diagnosed conditions. Coaching isn’t a substitute for that, and I won’t pretend it is.
All the questions, answeredWho is coaching not right for?
If you live with PTSD, schizophrenia, or severe anxiety or depression, you may need clinical care instead of coaching. I’ll help you find it.
What if I’m considering medication?
A coach can’t prescribe, so you’ll need a doctor or psychiatrist who can. Coaching can still sit alongside that care.
I already see a therapist. Can I still do coaching?
Yes. A coach can work alongside and support your treatment. Just make sure both of us know what support you’re getting.
What if I’m in crisis right now?
Please don’t wait for a website. Call Lifeline on 13 11 14, any hour. In an emergency, call 000.
Ready when you are.
One free, unhurried conversation. If it isn’t the right fit, that’s completely okay.
